We humans love design. From the beginning of time man has decorated his surroundings and clothing. Many patterns and designs which first appeared hundreds of years ago have survived the test of time and are still being reproduced today.Others, especially those introduced in the latter part of the 20th century, were typical, even atypical of the era. It is those designs which captured my interest.		The art deco influences of the 1920'S, the atomic age designs of the 1950'S and the psychedelic patterns of the 1970'S tell us so much about the history, lifestyle and even the consciousness of the era. Design, just like music and smells, can awaken our memories and whisk us back in time.
